Do you want looks or performance & how much do the wheels weigh that you are looking at. Definatly makes a big difference! I've ran my stealie's vs. my 26lb show wheels & theres a huge difference!

I have 16's and love them. I recommend going with a 205/45 over a 205/40. I would go to the 45 if I could do it all over again. jmo

Depending on the style of the rim, either size would look good. If you're getting a set wheels with a polished (or some kind of) lip, then I'd go for a set of 17's.

Since the spokes don't go all the way to the edge of the rim, the wheel would look smaller than it actually is.

But if the wheels you want have the spokes extend all the way to the edge of the rim, you'd want a set of 16's.

Since the spokes go all the way and appear longer, the wheels look larger than it actually is.

By the way, since you have an '04, the tires that you use are a little different than older generation civics. For 16's, you'd want to use 215/50/16. For 17's, 215/45/17.

16s, anything else would just hurt your performance.
