Default questions about b16a2 swap into 93 ex?

i have a 93 ex 2dr coupe. i want to do a full swap (motor, tranny, ecu, harness, ect) but im tight on cash. thats why im going with the b16a2 instead of a b18c. my question is, if i drop a b16a2 into my 93 ex and then turboed it, what mods (like pistons and rods) would i have to do to the b16a2 before i install the turbo?

nothing...You can run safely on low boost on a stock motor. Now if you plan on building it up thats another story.

b series engines are great with turbo. they put up with the boost real well, with good engine mang. you can boost up to about 14lbs. im pushing 10 all day on my stock b18a, and 12 lbs at the track.

I ran up to 15psi before I blew my first stock bottom-end B16A. Now I'm built and still have'nt ventured above 15psi but that's just because I'm happy at 13.2's in the 1/4.

if you want 8 psi of boost or under you don't need to replace anything. Depending on the how your tuning it you might be able to run up to 12 PSI without replacing anything, but on that motor I'd say your gambling running anymore boost than that without strengthening the bottom end.

hey man thanks for the info, but what is your definitoin of "good engine mang", just talking about all the fluids and belts, or by upgrading a couple of stock parts?

I know a guy who ran 22psi though a stock block and made an 11 sec pass lol.. they are stout little engines.

Just use proper fuel management and you'll be set
