Default This dyno number possible?

Ok a guy locally has a B18c and a cheapturbos.com turbo kit.......and claims 270whp@4psi...........what do you guys think? That seems like an awful lot of power for not much boost?

peak turbo kits claim 270whp at 10psi so I highly doubt it

8psi isn't 4

I don't doubt he made the number.........a friend of mine was actually there and witnessed it lay down that power, however..........I think either the boost reading isn't accurate, or someone was playing with the dyno earlier...........

I've read you can alter dyno sheets in several ways.

4 Psi? I guess I just thought that would be kind of a waste.

Yeah , u can do stuff like changing elevation, ambient air..........just small things that will effect the outcome......for instance, once on the dyno my friends car puts down a legitimate 921rwhp..........with some small altercations to the elevation.......he was putting down around 1200......i dunno, i just don't think its cool if when shops lie about numbers

if they setup the gear ratios incorrectly in the dyno software...that would do it

270 to the wheels...not likely

stock GSR is 170 to the flywheel so roughly 155hp to the wheels

that would be roughly 28HP per psi gain from the turbo...thats either a super turbo or a super engine

let me know where he bought his parts so i can get me some of that
