Whats this part called?
I wanted to ask you guys if you knew what the part is called where the spark plugs go. I have a 02 Civic and the plugs are not conected with wires, they each have there own cyclinder type part that sort of plugs into the plug.
Thanks..

thanks blue2.
Now my next question is there a way to see which plug wire is the bad one? I am hurting on cash and cant really afford to get all 4. My friend has a computer and i ran it through the computer. I gave me a error for a intake sensor and it said the park plugs. I know its the not the actual spark plugs cause i just changed them. Fixed the missfire for a while but now they are back and my uncle said it could be the actual plug wire.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Rob

But the newer civics have Coil Over Plug system for spark delivery?
Can someone verify or did I just read it wrong?

I'm guessing he's just talking about the wire extensions that go into the valve cover to reach the plug. As far as I know, the new Civics still use a standard electronic distributor/single coil ignition. I avoid new cars like the plague though.
Well, I'd do as mentioned before in this thread: have the wires measured for resistance. That's pretty much the only way to tell if they look OK externally.
I'd be very suprised if wires that new failed. Is the car no longer under warranty?
Also, I've never heard of plug wires being sold individually. If money is an issue, you can get a basic, generic brand set of four wires from Autozone for fairly cheap.
