Default In Drag....B18 bottom + B16 Head vrs. H22....Who wins?

I have recently installed a JDM H22A in my 97 civic coupe and have beaten in drags all B16 fixed-up civics that used to have no match. Now, they're moving up to B18 Bottoms + B16 Heads to try to compensate. Will it work for them? How can I improve my H22 to show them that it didn't work? I'm new to this, so please help.

need a lil more info on your buddies....if they are keeping stock valve train, but putting it on a b18 bottom end, then you will still have your way with them

No, they're upgrading their valvetrains (so I've heard) with Stage 2 camshafts, etc.

unless they do a pretty serious NA build on those motors I would still give you the upper hand...the tq conparison really slides to your favor.

the effect will be less than a b18c5 (unless the bottom end was a LS, then i'm not sure the outcome) seeing as the c5 is a b18 with a b16 head and a PNP job + other goodies (i think)

you should maul them with an h22 swap in the straight line, the torque will get you to your peak faster, and more effciently then theirs, its on the twistys that they might catch you.

Ok. I've built this particular car to drag against other N/A Hondas. For the twistys I have a 2000 civic DX HB that will do another swap. Right now I can't decide between a B16B to fully convert it to the Type R (interior & exterior) or the B18C5 for a little more power. But thats another story and another post.

To beat almost anything else I have a 2003 EVO VIII that I'm slowly modifying.

I forgot to mention: The H22 has a skunk2 stage 2 camshaft, springs and retainers.
