Default Muffler question

Hey guys, can someone help me out with this. Will a stock muffler for a 98 GSR fit onto the greddy evo 2 piping behind the catalytic converter?

No. The stock muffler has a longer and narrower pipe than the thicker Evo exhaust.

No, the muffler os too big and the piping is not long enough. The flanges will most likely be off set as well. Plus the stock muffler shares the same concept of how the exaust manifold meets the cat. It is not flange to flange with a gasket in the center. You can cock the muffler at an angle to get the flanges to line up, but it will be wedged in there, look like shit, it'll make your piping come down under the car cause of the twist, you'll scrape and pick up a vibration. I know all this cause I have tried it and have done a lot of work on my exaust.

Umm... why would you want to do that? Did it get damaged?

I've received a ticket and 2 warnings in 3 months for my exhaust. The local authorities are too familiar with my car and me, and I don't feel the warm and fuzziness when they pull me over.

Contact GReddy and get the sound test certification. I live in CA and I have a GReddy Evo 1, and I got certification for mine... says that it's 100% legal in CA. Cops can harass you, but can't give tickets at least
