My 94 civic.. vs 90 legacy
my friend is an @ss, always talks shit bout my honda and he just bought a 90 legacy.. i just want to at least take him on a few car lenghts...
my civic.. 94, coupe DX, stick
-dx motor and tranny
-8mm plug wires
-aem intake
-muffler
-homemade grounding kit,
so probally 110 hp at 2300 pounds.. with the mods
his p.o.s.
1990 legacy, stick
all stock
all wheel drive.... 2620 pounds at 130hp...
i was thinking that his all wheel drive system will take some power off since it has to go to all 4 wheels.... i might get him on 2nd gear
his pos beats the hp to weight ratio for my civic, but not much.... so u guys think its worth a shot?

i thought that when a car is 4wheel drive it makes it faster than normal front wheel drive cars, if i'm not mistaken. How much torque does his car have, thats what really matters, unless your gonna try and take him starting out at higher speeds.

The AWD system can eat a lot of the flywheel HP. I wouldn't be too surprised if he lost 25% of his power through the drivetrain (which could happen if his drivetrain is well worn), which knocks his HP down quite a bit. Basically, I think it comes down to who can drive.
Oh, and take it to the track
