Default Injen heat shield

I just ordered the Injen short ram intake for my 01 EX and wanted to know if any one has the heat shield and if its worth the 50 bucks they want for it.

I already ordered the short ram and besides this is the car I'll be driving through the winter and dont want to take any chances with the CAI sucking up any water and with the Injen intake the battery kind of acts like a shield because it blocks the filter from the header just wanted to know if anyone had the Injen heat shield and if they notice an improvement.
