Default so i guess i fixed my starter. one question though

what i did was i just took some old 4 guage power wire i had laying around from my stereo, put some loops on each end and put it from my starter to my battery.
i've also done that with my grounds as well

starts like a champ now.

i'm just wondering if the OEM wire from the starter to the battery is fused?
i don't think it is, but i'm just making sure

what symptoms were you having? My car seems to not like to start very well when it's cold out, every now and then it won't start. If that's all it takes, I'll do it too!

its easy as **** and it fixed my problem.

all it was doing was on the first turn (for ignition) it would be hella slow/weak. and then the next 2 or 3 turns it would be better, then it would fire.
i did this and now its like new

If it blew a fusible link, you'd have NOTHING AT ALL. Probably what happened is either of these...
- Corrosion at the cable ends. Maybe where the cable itself is attached to the connector.
- Some of the strands broken within the insulation.
