Because of power to weight, an I4 manual would accelerate quicker (not sure about auto), but the V6 would beat it on top. This is from a dead stop. On the highway the V6 has way more power.

Default 4-6

I agree, My old 99 EX 4cyl can take off from a stoplight faster than my 02 EX V6 and the 4cyl seems easier to toss around on curvy backroads and I can take sharp right hand turns with more speed and control than with the V6, but the V6 does get a smoother and quieter ride all around than the 4. The V6 does have a lot more power on the highway for passing. Before anyone asks, both cars are still fully stock as far as performance/Suspension Mods go and they both have the exact same tires that are both set at the same psi. I guess it's probably the extra weight that the V6 has,

I wondered about that, too. The 2001 V6 had 200 h.p./195 torque vs. the present I-4 with 160/160, so it should be faster, right? I've ridden in both, and the V6 seemed to pull better. I searched and found some interesting results; sources cited below info. (I did not handpick the info. I posted the first three sources I found.)

(0-60) (1/4)
2001 Honda Accord LX V-6 8.3 16.6
2003 Honda Accord Sedan (I-4) 8.0 16.0

2001 Honda Accord EX V-6 (I'm curious, what makes this faster than the LX?)
0-60: 7.6
1/4 Mile: 15.9
1/4 Speed: 89

2001 Honda Accord LX V-6
0-60: 8.3
1/4 Mile: 16.6
1/4 Speed: 85

2003 Honda Accord Sedan (I-4)
0-60: 8
1/4 Mile: 16
1/4 Speed: 89

0-60
1998 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe 7.90 h:
2003 Honda Accord EX 2.4 Sedan 7.58

Lastly, something to make ALL of us feel better...

(0-60)
1987 Yugo GV 15.40

I was actually suprised at the stats. I figured there would be a more appreciable difference. However, I suspect that the V6 would be superior at higher (and illegal) speeds, and perform better when loaded with people/luggage.

Just don't try to take your I-4 and race a 7th gen V-6. You will be owned.

Does anyone have any drag strip experiences to backup or dispute the numbers?

I was at the strip recently and the V6 6ht gen accords are surprisingly slow. the best times I saw were mid to high 16s. I was hitting low to mid 16s, I was kind of shocked by that. so your data you posted is pretty accurate. and I agree those 7th gen V6 6spds are quick. I love the looks of the coupe.

I think they look good, but I test drove one, and wasnt very impressed. Its got some power, thats obvious, but its too heavy and there are too many blind spots.

(BTW I test drove an 04 6sp, I liked the TSX better)

better handeling I'm guessing? that's the one thing about the accord coupe that I hear is its too heavy.

the TSX just felt better all around. I liked how the drivers postion is set a bit higher, you can see a lot more. The coupe felt like I was drowning in car. Both have the drive by wire (electronic thottle, no thottle cable) but the TSX was easier to drive and shift. The clutch on the Coupe wasnt very forgiving, (and Im not a rookie on the stick shift). The TSX Def handled better, much more responsive, not sure why, they are roughly the same wieght.

Back on topic. My 2000 DX pulled a 15.4

The V6 is faster in every respect, the 0-60 in 8.3 was done at a very high elevation on a hot day. It's much faster especially on the highway than the 4 cylinder. The V6 has 40 more horsepower and only like 150 more pounds, if that. The 4 banger 5 speed might have close 0-60 times because of the stick.

I agree, I've messed with 6G V6 sedans in the past, and despite the automatic, they had me every time - be it from a dead stop all the way up through top end. Unless you've got some serious mods or you're fooling with an inexperienced driver, you're going to lose.
