ive got the halo projectors on my 2003, there is only 1 wire (blue/live wire) and then there is a metal rim that houses the bulb that acts as the ground. The only reason I know this is I replaced my bulbs with an HID conversion kit and had to find a way to get around that grounding problem. (the HID bulb had a black/ground wire and a blue/live wire)

You might also check where your halos are tapped into, I put mine on my parking lights/blinkers (same thing) The most common problem is the grounds though. Also if your live wire is touching something metal other than thebulb, you may check that also...they usually have a rubber insullation (sp?) around the live wire connection so that wont happen...but check that...
