I have been reading all these 1/4 mile times and different mods, and you guys are great.

I own a 98 JDM Type R engine in my 95 Honda Civic DX coupe. My mods are AEM CAI, fuel pressure regulator (55 psi), cam gears, modified cat, cat-back exhaust system, NGK spark plugs, and MSD ignition wires. Other than those mods stock!!!

My 1/2 time is at 14.4. Do you think this is accurate? Cuz damn it looks like you guys are doing much better. What do you think it is?

You can get down to 13.8's or somewhere in the high 13's with practice...

Yes, 13.8's sound good.

My friend Dave has a VX with a b18c-r, 3" AEM CAI, toda header, and 2.5" exhaust and he can now consistently run 13.8's @ about 101-102mph. The car FLIES. Oh, no interior behind the front seats, but even that didn't save much weight. In fact, the first time the car was at the strip, 14.01 was the best time with full interior. A few more times out to get the 60ft times down and launching better, and that car will be in the mid/low 13's.

Practice is good at the drag strip.

Went to the track last night.... it was my first time at the track this year and with the B18C-R in my 99 Civic Coupe. I was planning on running slicks last night but was told I couldn't when I got there so I ended up running stock Michelin Si tires... I can tell there's still room for improvement, the car has faster times in it... Anyhow My overall fastest time of the night was my 12th run....

Stock B18C-R w/JDM 4-1
AEM 3" CAI - Apexi WS Exhaust
Stock Michelins at 28psi
3800 RPM launch
7:54 PM

R/T: .506
60': 2.292
330: 6.209
1/8: 9.413
MPH: 77.59
1000: 12.180
1/4: 14.518
MPH: 96.84

Overall I was pretty pleased with my runs, definately need better traction... I think I can shave off around .2-3 (14.2-3) with Falken Azenis and possibly .3-5+ (14.0-13.999) with the slicks... My R/T's were great tonight and I was pretty pleased with my MPH times... just need to work the 60's a little better... I think I was pretty consistant though cause out of 14 total runs, 9 of those were .5xx R/T's, and I ran pretty much 14.5xx every time I raced except for the first two runs at 14.748 and 14.636. Next week I'm gonna try dropping a little higher like 5000 maybe 5500 cause I had a lot of wheel hoppin on the stockers.... I'll get it eventually...my goal is 13.999 somehow on the setup I have now on slicks or street tires (Falken Azenis).

Any opionon's on my times? Are these about slow or average times or should I be a little faster? I'll have to post a video up of my run(s) later on... I would think that I can go faster, cause two of my buddies run consistant 14.6xx in their b16 hatches and I show them prolly 2-3 cars on the street... Raced my brother in his 94 coupe with a JDM LSD B16 and he managed a 14.8 @ 94 (Awesome run/time for him) so I'd know I can bet better times, my car pulls on theres going down the road farely easily. I dunno, I'm happy with my times consitering the conditions, still need to practice a little more... 14.5 I didn't think was that bad for my very first time with this motor, maybe I am wrong... dunno

Great times, I'm surprised you pulled a 2.2 60 foots on those tires with such high tire pressure. Lower the tire pressure to under 20 psi, I would play with 16 to 20 psi, and try to find the sweet spot. With slicks or drag radials you should be able to shave a few tenths. My best 60 on drag radials at 14-16 psi so far is high 1.9s. Other than that, as long as your clutch is holding, the times look straight. Now she needs more power!!

So with my set-up I should be at least in the 13's? Oh, well I guess I better practice more, but my motor seems like thats all it has to give with those mods and that's bull!

No I didn't say you should be in the 13s, I said you pulled great times, a few tenths would put you at 14.2 or so. If you hit 13s with only those mods, good work mate, because that would be awesome driving.
