Default 2003 Accord V6 Check Eng light

Check Engine Light (emissions light) came on this evening while driving to dinner. I have 77k miles and have had to replace only ABS and TCS wiring (under warantee). The nearest dealer is 45 min away. Is there anything I can check other than the Gas cap? I re tightened the gas cap, but doubt that will do much good. Is Autozone able to read Honda Engine codes? Still runs fine, but I want to get the problem addressed before warentee goes out. My wife also had a wreck about 4 months ago. Everything was replaced w/ factory parts and has run fine until tonight. Any help would be great!

So I disconnected the Neg cable after tightening the gas cap, the light went off, then drove around the neighborhood getting the rpms up and gas through they system...light didn't come back on yet. Maybe that's all it was...man that things fast (compared to my toyota truck)!

So does the light come on too often? For nothing serious? My wife said it did not come on again today, I guess all is well.

 OH! this info can be very handy in the future.

Just a quick question: is this for all 2003 accords, 4 cylinder and V6 models?

Thanks

you might have an intermittent problem which is why the car hasn't thrown another code yet. next time get the code before erasing it! autozone can pull the codes for you for free if it happens again or you can jumper the data link connector as jani 5 stated.

light cam back on again, I'm cleaning the KN filter for the first time in a year or so, needed it, maybe that will help. Can auto zone get the codes? I've had them tell me they can't before, can't remember if it was my Toyota or Honda. Guess I'll find out. Thanks so much for the listing of codes! I'm getting it back to the shop to have some issues worked out from the major repair a few months ago, will have them check the light as well. Thanks again!
