detailer that doesn't streak?
 

I use mothers quick detailer. But i find that when i wipe it off it leaves streaks that take a lot of elbow grease to get rid of. if i look at just the right angle i can see slight streaks that re still there after removing what i thought were all of them.

Is there a detailer that works as well but doesn't do this, and just wipes off quick and easy w/o a trace? (or if not, at least much better than mothers in that regard)

make sure you aren't using it in the sunlight.....I would get some MF towels too.....the turtle wax ones are decent for store bought stuff....on a cool surface out of direct sunlight you shouldn't have any probs :)

i tried all that, but still i get streaks. So i just wanna see if anyone has found a non-streaking brand.

I use Meguiars Quik Detailer and I rarely get streaks from it. The streaks I do get are pretty easy to remove, just a couple of wipes and it's gone. It could be that you may need to wax your car again. The bottle of Meguiars says that when the product is slow to wipe off it's time to re-wax. I personally don't care for MF towels. I found it harder to remove the product than if I just used 100% cotton terry towels. But hey, that's just me.

Haven't used it in awhile, but Eagle One's QD used to work good for me.

If you're using it after a wash, look for their Wax As You Dry. :)

I did a search on google and coincidentally i found a post at another forum where someone said they did get a lot of streaking from mquires. Maybe it depends on the car. In any case, it's not for lack of wax since i clayed then did 2 coats just last weekend. As for cotton terry, thats what i'm using now.

May i ask why you don't use it anymore, (if you found beter you'd have mentioned it...do u just not use QD anymore?) and when you say it worked good do you mean no streaks?

I used both Meguiers and Mothers quick detailer, no problems. You using a terry cloth towel? I use one to wipe on and one to wipe off

mothers showtime is your friend.

Then why does it make me work so hard to remove streaks?

I also used the Mother's Showtime, and it comes off alright, and as others have mentioned if I do get streaking, then I just go over it again, and not to insult your intelligence, but I'm sure you know you have to do it inside like in a garage or in the shade. By the way I also have a black car too, so it easy to see if i messed up. The only reason though that i use it though, is it came with the claybar kit. I use a dry soft polishing clothes (you get these in a package at Kragen's), and work a section at a time and make sure to wipe immediately when spraying the stuff. If the cloth gets too moist, I use another cloth piece.

The only other good stuff out there is Zaino and the Z6 spray, that's awesome stuff there! But expensive. I gotta buy more Zaino, been leaving that stuff for my truck, and crappy Meguiars for my Honda.
