The Focus is a pathetic platform? Please...the SVT Focus will outhandle most cars on the road today. The SVT Focus has faster times through the slalom than the Z06 Corvette even!! From Autoweek's site. All on same course, in similar conditions:

Hmm...obviously you have not seen the SVT Focus in action in autoX have you? How do you figure the Focus is a pathetic platform? Hmm...Colin Mcrae must be an idiot for winning all those WRC championships with the pathetic Focus platform. All the car magazines must be high smoking crack rating the SVT Focus car of the year or at least including it in the top 10. Hmm? Have you heard of the Focus RS? That pathetic Focus platform smokes the Honda civic SI Type-R and Subaru WRX throught the roadcourse easily! Don't believe me? I have the video to prove it. Point is...sure there are alot of faster cars than the SVT Focus for sure, but the handling characteristics of the FOCUS and the platform which is of European design deserves high honors! Lates!

Damn. Whoever you are, you are really ignorant and uninformed. The base Focus platform is great. How the hell do you call it pathetic? The chassis can handle far more horsepower than what the base model Focus has. All SVT did was upgrade the springs, strut bar, and other basic things needed to upgrade the suspension, any basic ZX3 Focus owner can upgrade to SVT handling, its based off the same exact platform that you call pathetic. Man..where do you get your information from????
