06 Acura rsx base as fast as type s?
 

i just bought an RSX base model because i couldnt afford the type S. i was wondering if there was a way to make it as fast as the type S??? could i install the vtech from da type s and just tune my car differently?

it is the cams and intake manifold which is the 10 hp differance. just get a full AEM v2 intake with a dry filter and a tuned exhaust and bam it sounds nice and just as fast if not faster.

its actually a 40hp difference and intake and exhaust wont make it faster than a Type S (unless the guy in the Type S doesnt know how to drive at all).

gotta remember that the Type S also has a shorter gear ratio because of the 6 speed transmission and "real" VTEC compared to the economy version of the K20A3 in the base RSX.

intake, race header, exhaust, motor mount inserts and definitely hondata k-pro will give you excellent gains and keep up with a Type S, possibly making a bit faster.

and for that kind of money you could have bought a type s and then some
