types or type r

my dad is going to co sign on a loan and he said i could get what i wanted but i still have to pay for it so im not going for the nsx yet but i think i want a integra type r or a rsx type s what do ya'll think i don't know much about the rsx so could ya'll give me the pro's and con's.

i'm also keeping my mind open to any other sugestions on what i should get but it has to be a 98-02 thats why he's letting me get a new car so its reliable well let me know what u think

do a search, i know there has been many a debate as to which is better. IMO i have driven both, and i would say for pure fun factor, TYPE-S. The ITR is a rarer car, but the RSX has much more potential for over all power and it handles better. Not to mention better seats, better stereo, and 6 gears of fun.

thats what i was thinking and the type r isn't something i would want to drive every day

do whatever you want, test drive both and see what you can best live with. It's your decision, not ours.

to each his own...i personally would take the type-s because of some of the luxuries that come with it. whatever you choose they're both great cars.

i have driven both cars too...yes the RSX has a nice powerband, but no way does it have better handling than an ITR.

both cars have their pros and cons, so it really depends on what you are looking for in a car. if you want a raw car that is "track-ready", go for the ITR. on the other hand, the Type S would serve you better as a daily driver.

A used Type R will cost more for insurance. I compared insurance rates, and a brand new 2003 RSX Type S is cheaper to insure than a 1997 Integra Type R. Even an S2000 is cheaper to insure.

if your lookin for a nice fast car i would go with the type R. my friend has one and he just put some small upgrades to it and it flys he beats my other friend who has a srt 4 and i have a turbo si and he just kills us every time. plus they dont make the type R any more so its value is gonna be much higer n the long run
