Civic Si (w/ side airbags) = 2744 lbs

Plus, another thing to consider....Warrantys:
Civic Si = 36 months/36,000 miles
RSX= 48 months/50,000 miles

I have a '02 RSX Type-S. I was choosing between The Civic Si and the RSX-S and after drving them both around for a while I went with the RSX-S. Much better power, like the ride and I fell in love with it. Get the RSX.

I moved this here because the poster is talking about EP3 (US Si/Can Si-R) and DC5 (US Base/Can Premium).
He'll get more informed input here, I think.
I have an EP3 as a daily driver, and I'm glad. It's a very nice car for the money (which, in the US, was only $16,000 after haggling).

Although they weigh the same, the EP3 has a higher polar moment of inertia.

He has to pick between the regular DC5 and the EP3.
Completely different kettle of fish.

The only reason the Acura warranty is longer is for marketing considerations.
The motors are built by the same people in the same place.
