Default Engine suggestions

What engine do you think would be the best to put in a 1990 4ws lude? i want to prolong the life of my lude, but i also wasnt to have some "hidden" power, to maybe suprise some stangs or something that think an old lude has nothing to it.

if you want more power, then H22A
if you just want a low milage direct replacement, get a B20A

You should put a b18c1 in it. I think it would be pretty rad.

The price isn't too big of a deal, less than 5 grand though I guess. I don't want too much horsepower that will create torque that would just make the tires spin. Thanks though, I'll take a look at the h22a and b18c1

Where is the B18C1? I've never heard of it, what car does it come out of?

Never mind about the B18, it's from the integras..is there any major problems hooking a B18 up to a 3rd Gen 'lude?

You can find ads for engines on ebay, not private sellers either. There are ads from companies. An H22 for around 2k and shipping like 500 dollars. Good engine for a Prelude. Only problem, don't know if they fit in a 3rd gen. You can always call companies and ask. Companies can really give you straight advice and know a lot. Yeah, they maybe trying to sell you an engine, but they want to sell you the right one, they don't want any complaints.

h22a in 3rd gen is possible but i figure is probably pretty expensive to make it work correctly

however

the b18c1 will probably fit easier than the h22a

but the h22a is significantly less money than a b18c1, and its got more HP and torque

this is assuming you pay the going rate for a GSR swap which is over 3000
compared to 2000 plus shipping for a h22a lude front clip
