can anyone tell me where my knock sensor is? its a 92 prelude si H23 engine, non vtec. Or maybe somone knows the symtoms of a faulty knock sensor, and if so how to test it?

indications/symptoms= you get a MIL code for knock sensor failure

its located right above the oil filter on the back of the block right below the bottom of the intake manifold.

new knock sensor for an h series motor will run you about $120 ish.

ok cool, so if i remove the filter it is accesable to test/replace? or does the manifold have to be pulled out for removing it?

 

You can get it out if you remove the filter no problem.
