h22's lazy?
has anyone else who has driven a b series motor (b16/b18) feel that the h22 motor kind of feels lazy in acceleration in that it doesnt have as good of throttle response? Mine feels like that when you accelerate under 2K rpms, once you hit the sweet spot of the motor and rev it, it is very responsive, maybe this is just due to the fact that it is in a much heavier car (prelude) as opposed to what the other engines are in.....

no, I know hondas have virtually no low end torque, im talking about the way the motor responds in terms of throttle response down low, and it feels like the b-series motors respond a lot quicker in terms of throttle response than the h-series even though they have less torque.....
the b series is meant to rev and rev quickly.....the h22a doesnt have to because of the extra .5 liter or so displacement...it has more torque, more hp, and a lot different powerband...maybe it's because the powerband of the b's usually go from nothing to peak in just a few rpms and the h22a's have a flatter "curve"....start higher and finish higher, but the difference isn't as drastic......maybe ur h is running on 3 cylinders...who knows.....can't fukkin wait til my jdmh22a is in my 90 lx accord....
