Default Cylinder Misfire????

I had a check engine light come on and ran the code. It told me I had a misfire in cylinder 1 and 3. How would I go about fixing that? Just had the timing belt changed. Please any help would be great!

Swap you plugs around 1-2 3-4 if the code changes its your plugs. Swap your injectors same thing. Take a look at your cap and rotor, spark plug wires, valve lash, compression

Will changing the timing belt have any effect on the car? I had the same setup minus the timing belt on the car for 25K and nothing but after I got the timing changed it showed the cylinders misfiring. Any info would be great! Thanks for the advise Fuse.

The belt can cause a miss but I would think it would be in all cylinders not just 1 and 3. Having the belt timed wrong would cause the intake or exhaust cams to be off. It would also change the distributor timing because it is run off the exhaust cam. If you think your belt timing is off check your ignition timing it will be off too. If it was the intake cam it would not change ignition timing but it would affect how the fuel gets into all the cylinders so you would have a miss in all of them.

If you have the F series motor you only have one cam.

TidusBlue, let me know if you find out anything. I checked all the plugs and wires but no good.
