97 Prelude, is this worth it??? I NEED HELP!
Ok guys, I am a prelude noob... I have been a civic guy all my life, but I am thinking about getting a prelude. I have talked the guy down to $4650. The car was keyd from the driver fender through the driver door, and the bumper needs repainted, and a few other misc scratches... I test drove it, and he says he put a excedy stage2 clutch in it 8k miles ago, but he thinks its going out. When I drove it the clutch didnt grab until i had my foot almost completely off. Is this a sign of a need for a new clutch or what? The interior is tan, and the outside is the prelude green color. It has the stock rims.... soo is the car worth it? or should I keep looking?!?!?! Thanks!

haha... i wish i could find a 5th gen for that price.... ugh...
|
If you're lookin for a Lude go for a 4th gen.
I loved my 92 Prelude before the timing belt went in June....even stock the car was the shit :o You can find a decent 4th gen. for 1-2k and spend another $800-1200 for an H22 and you have a car thats IMO better looking and faster than a 5th gen. |
i was digging the 4th gens more for a while, then i got caught up in the 5th gens for some reason... I dont know why... how much is a timeing belt for these puppies?
|
500-600$ for installation....I've heard higher though
