92 Prelude (2.2 Automatic JAP Import) wont start!! HELP!!
On my way home from work today the car cut out and a light came on (looks like a box with wiggly lines coming out of it) which is apparently an exhaust temperature warning light? Upon closer inspection of the car, I found the sump plug had fallen out and I had no oil. I have since sorted this and filled the engine up with oil again.
However, the car still won't start and this warning light is still on, any ideas?
I have attached a picture (very bad phone pic, you can just make it out though) of the light if its any use....
Hope you can help,
Kev.

No oil+Moving parts = Engine Seized up
You basically figured the problem out your self, I believe that symbol means the car overheated and seized up since there was no oil to buffer the pistons and crank causing them to over heat/expand and seize up....jack the car up, take the drivers side front wheel off and grab and wrench and a socket, and manually move the crank pulley...if you can't then the engine seized up

Yeah, the car was only £700 off ebay though to start with, probably best to call it a write off!! I'm gonna get a mechanic to take a look at it, if the engine's seized i'll probably try to sell on ebay for spares and just start again! Only had the car 2 weeks!!!
I think so, all the belts go round on the right hand side of the engine when trying to start it (you might have guessed I don't know a lot about cars....)
I'm assuming this means its not seized?
Sometimes it sounds like it is trying to fire (you get a very brief exhaust noise) but it never starts.
Any ideas? Is it likely to be anything simple (changing a spark plug or something) or will it be a mechanic job?
