Ok.so..a Friend Was Cleaning Out His Garage And I Got This Engine For Free From Him. I Dont Know Exactly What It Comes Out From..its Just Stamped H22a And It Has A Red Valve Cover.
I Dont Know If It Came Out Of A Lude Or An Accord. Neither Do I Know If Its Obd 0, 1, Or 2...i Will Post Pics When I Get Out Of School. And If Anyone Knows What To Look For To Find Out What I Want To Know I Would Appreciate It...= ]

 

If its stamped H22A then its a Prelude Motor from Japan...and the valve cover is painted red

That could possibly be a Type-s motor, though I can't understand how you would come by one for free.

 

the motor threw two rod bearings... it needs a new crank/rods but the pistons are in good shape aswell as the cylinders...this engine was just sitting there for like 2 yrs...it came out of a hatch...all he did was swap it for another h22 and the guy told my friend that he didnt want it anymore since it was "blown" so my friend recently passed it on to me...= ] ..i opened it up to see what was wrong and i found those two rod bearings like completely shreded in the oil pan...= l so i'll post pics up soon and does anyone know what to look for other than the stamp?
