Default Turbo'd luder??

What are the details on turboing a prelude with the vtec motor. In this case its my friends 1997 h22. What kind of boost would be safe on that motor? With the high compression ratio that they have, would even be worth it? Please help with any suggestions thanks, still working on research right now.

Details? Just look at greddy and turbonetics, they sell complete kits that run around 7-8 psi on boost and have air/fuel management incorporated in the kit. Another route is the jackson supercharger at about 6 psi, i plan on incorporating this in my lude as soon as my extended warranty ends. All these kits are "safe" on stock engine but strengthening the bottom end will help a lot and allow for more boost. hope this helps.

dont go crazy with the hp and you should be safe with a good tune and good fuel management. 300whp or so would be ok on a stock h22. stock h22 ringlands are notoriously weak and prone to break at higher hp levels.
