Whats needed in puting a H22 into a SI (h23) body?

I found a h22 that was in a 4th gen.. has the ECU and the motor, and I'm thinking of buying it soon.. but what is needed for this swap?
what would you rate it on a scale of 1-10th?
1 being very simple
10 being very hard. just take it to a shop

also a shop quoted me a 400 to do the whole swap.. what do you think?

400 definately sounds really good...but if you have all the tools, do it yourself you'll learn as you do...from 1-10 i would say it's 0. because it's straigh forward if you have machanic experience.

The engine, ECU, and a little wire to make the VTEC work is all you need to do the swap. I suggest changing the timing belt and water pump while the engine is out of the car.

I agree with Legit, but for 400 you can't beat that, it cost me 900 for my replacement F22B, it would also be a good time to check out the clutch if it's a manual, you might want to upgrade the clutch now, it will save you money in the future

BE VERY CAREFUL THERE, IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW IT ALL WORKS, YOU'LL BE PAYING A MECHANIC TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER FOR YOU. I JUST DID A SWAP ON MY CAR, AND IT WAS QUITE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE, WHICH IS A GOOD THING, BUT I DID GET VERY FRUSTRATED A TIME OR TWO. OH, BY THE WAY THEY WANTED $650.00 FOR MY CAR TO DO THE SWAP. I SAID TO HELL WITH THAT, AND JUST JUMPED RIGHT IN! IT AINT NOTHING BUT A THING MAN! GET A MANUAL, THEY ARE PRICELESS!!!

What about axles and motor mounts? Shouldn't he get aftermarket/h22 ones? Or do the h23 mounts/axles work? I figure with more power those two things would need to be upgraded.

ENERGY SUSPENSION MAKES SOME INSERTS FOR THE MOTOR MOUNTS THAT STIFFINS THEM UP CONSIDERABLY! I HAVE THEM INSTALLED ON MINE.

lose the caps. if you dont feel comfortable doing the swap yourself, then just have the shop do it. $400 is a good deal and it will save you a lot of head aches and grey hairs.

If it is a usd motor you need a need to hook up the vtec solenoid and convert the internal coil to external. Very simple. Everything bolts right up. On the other hand, if it is a jdm you have to extend the fuel line and extend the harness about 8 inches.
