Question from would-be owner
I'm finally in a situation to get rid of my current car (98 Accord) and look seriously at picking up a last-gen Prelude.
I've been looking to pick one up for quite some time, and was dissapointed to hear that they were discontinued a few years back. So my question is this:
How concerned are you, as owners, about availability of parts for your cars? Has anyone had issues replacing anything fairly major (possibly an engine replacement, tranny, etc) ?
Thanks in advance, and hi.

Well, I took the plunge.
Found a 2001 black Prelude with 31000 miles on it, in what looks to be bone stock and pristine shape. Manual transmission of course. Its not an SH, and not 'exactly' my first choice of colors, but I can overlook these things in exchange for one that is in perfect condition.
Its an eBay purchase from a dealer who has good feedback, but of course I am a bit nervous. If the pics are representative of the car, I'll be more than pleased.
I am flying 1-way to WV to pick up the car, and if its to my liking, pay for it and drive it home. If I dont like it, I get my down payment back, and then have to sort out a way home. It should be an interesting trip no matter what happens.
