Which sounds better: Boston Acoustic or Infinity?
I'm thinking of getting some new 6.5's to fill my doors, but am tore between Boston Acoustics and Infinity Reference. Which sounds better, paying attention to bass, and mids, while using an Alpine head unit?
My friend had Infinity tweeters and front speakers in his MR2 along with his two 8" subs and 90x2 (I think) amp. The speakers didn't handle bass very well at all, but it could have just been a bad model of the speakers I suppose.
Now on the other hand, I have Boston speakers and a sub for my COMPUTER
and they work great with bass
Haha I'm sure it's different between cars and computers just thought I'd share.

personally i hate the infinity, i work at a car audio place and ive installed them in over a dozen cars. all different models speakers and diff amps and headunits in all of them and no matter what the setup they all sounded like shit. i would go with the boston.

I've had BAs in my car for almost 6 years..... I use the stock head unit (believe it or not, the Matsushita/Panasonic factory head units on Preludes are very good. Strong, clean tuner and the CD player is better at decoding all the hidden nuances than most home CD players), an 8 year old Pioneer amp for my rears, a 6 year old Alpine amp for the fronts, and Boston Accoustic speakers all around (factory sizes - no subs)
I've had people with high end home stereos tell me my car stereo sounds better
