I have a JDM H22 in my 93 accord and out of no where the idle started surging. A week later it threw a check engine light. The code was for the CTS ( coolant temp. sensor ) so i changed it out ( the one under the distributor cap ) and it still gives me the same code. i have tested the IAC valve and check all vacuum lines, along with the TPS sensor and i have check the ECU! i cant find any leaks on the intake manifold but i plugged up the 2 holes on the inside of the throttle body and the idle smoothed back out! any help out there? or anyone have similar problems?

 

dude I had the same problems when I did my h22a in my lude..... i'd love to know what the hell it was as well.

I have a 91 honda prelude and the idle constantly surges from 1 up to 2.5 at times. What can I do??

 

Check your coolant level, you probably need to add some.

damnit now im having the same problem with my hatch! what the hell is with the h22a?

 

i had the same exact problem with my 88 lude. I had a intake manifold leak, and that was causin my idle to surge up and down, so i just changed the gasket and it stopped. Other than that check for vaccum leaks. thats all that i can think of off the top of my mind.
