Default HID questions

sup fellas
Just picked up some HID's and wanted to know about cleaning the bulb because i bought them used. Even though the seller tested them in front of me, i want to make sure they dont pop from being touched or anything.
They are out of an Audi A8.
The good news is they fit 90% perfectly in my JDM one piecers with the modded H4 plate that the seller also provided. He said he made the plate originally to fit EK JDM headlights, but they fit my BB1 One Pieces great.
so anyone who has HID's or has installed them or knows anything about them post here because this is one thing i dont know much about.
I also need to know if all HID bulbs of the same temp use the same connector or if all HID's use the same connector in general. Reason i ask is because the seller said the bulbs from maximas would also work in the audi harness.
All the harness's and ballast's are made by BOSCH.
Sound correct?
Input Please

i didnt get the kit i bought them on the street. but i assume the kit is easier to install and probably comes with directions

Some one tell me what temp bulbs or type of bulbs you are running in your prelude or any car just tell me the make and model.

i figured out alot on my own as usual, there are several different types of bulbs but all use a similiar connector at the back of the bulb.

i currently have D2S which is meant for projectors, while D2R is better suited for non projectors (like my JDM one piecers).
Ebay has a bulb set of any temp you want for about $100 in either type, they also have bulbs with built-in H4 plates so they will fit 100% on their own in my JDM housings. right now i have the modded plates from the seller, but they will do fine for now.
Im also happy with the purple color...its REALLY purple, although i read that the whiter the color (lower color TEMP) is longer range, while the Purple (12k color temp) is the best to look at but it cuts off at a certain distance.
