Default Rear View Mirror...Please Help

I'm new to this forum so I don't really know totally what's going on. The Rear view mirror on my 1997 Prelude was "loosened" I guess you could say. Basically, the mirror came out of place and I need to find a way to get at the screws and the assembly to put it back and tighten it. I took off the lens cover to the dome/map lights, and unscrewed the piece that holds the bulbs in. Behind it, I could see the part where the mirror would attach, but I can't get past the "plastic"ish piece that covers up the mirror connection area and all that crap. What I'm asking is, how do you take off the plastic piece that covers up the mirror assembly?

yes.. u take the lens off the map light, take the 2 scews out, unplug the harness, take the maplight assembly out.. and pull down on that plastic surround piece... its held in by clips.. and it take a lot of force to remove it.. but its strong.. so dont worry about breaking it when pulling. that will give u direct access to the screws for the mirror.
