Default 5th Gen. Prelude Header..??...What to get?

I have been searching and have found only two:

DC sports
Pacesetter..(not even sure says 97-99)

I have heard that the Stock is Better than DC sports....

So should I just remove my stock header and heat wrap it and put it back on to run cooler?......Any Info will help.

SMSP, HyTech ... but they come with a VERY hefty pricetag... OR you could get a Mugen header... which also costs A LOT, The Hytech is like $1300, Mugen $950, and the SMSP if I am right is like $1100? ... I don't think you LOSE HP w/ a DC header, but you don't really gain much on a lude...

also look at the fujitsubo, the prospeed, and the kamikaze.

do a search here and on hondatech for these headers. they're not as $$$ as the other ones mentioned, but they're also not as easy to install (some modifications necessary to exhaust system)

You have heard correctly. Mugen, SMS, and HyTech are the three headers proven to make power on an H22.

Don't wrap a header ... stock or aftermarket. I made this mistake and my header was destroyed in a little over a year. If you want to keep heat in and under hood temps down, send the header to JetHot, HPCoatings, or other quality coating company.

stock header is well constucted. Unless you dont have anything else to buy, save your $1000. also dont waste money on a cheaper header that will give you 2-5 horse for $200-$400

Either way it's still an ass load for a bolt-on, but those ones at least give gains, unlike DC and Pacesetter. Only way I would buy one of those is if my OEM cracked and I couldn't find a replacement one for a good price.

i wouldn't get the DC Sport. not nearly enough gains to even warrant going through the time and money to get one installed. i've heard a lot of good things about the Mugen header though. they only cost you about 900 BUCKS!!!!! the price we pay for decent gains.......
