Default Factory Shift Knob

I got an aftermarket shift knob and I am wondering how to remove the factory one. Im guessin just to turn it, but i dont wanna force anythin. So if anybody can help me....thanks!!

this thread has been post before....but let me say it again... on the boot... push down...n will dislocate itself... than just turn the knob clock-wise. n there ya'll go.....BAM BOM DING...its gone... jk... but yah..that how u do it.... dont worry nothing will break.

you turn the knob counter clockwise.
