It's my boyfriend's birthday next week and I'm looking for something to get him for his 2000 Prelude. He said something about a strut bar(?) and he's always playing with his lights, so I found these things. do these look good?

you can get both of those things cheaper, too. well the sidemarker lights at least.

the strut bars you could get off ebay but it may end up being the same price after shipping.

and does it matter what year the lights are for? some say 92-99, some say 97-01

my view on strut tower bars is that they're all the same, so get the cheapest one you can. then again your bf might think you're cheap :)

but i think they're probably the exact same bar, made in the exact same factory, just with a different sticker on it.

Yah, the years for the aftermarket clear lenses is weird. For my clear side markers (I have a 97 Prelude) I got APC and on the box it said "92-96 Accord"......... :confused: But, all that matters is that it fit, so i dunno if it was a misprint or what. Then, on the front clear blinkers, the box said "97-01 Prelude", so if you're gettin the blinkers, that's what I would look for. As for the side markers, I'm lost too. Hope that helps (or at least makes sense).

a high quality strut tower bar like neuspeed,dc sports,and skunk2 will out perform a ebay special drasticly. you always get what you pay for in aftermarket parts (99% of the time)

strut tower bars are mostly useless anyway, so i'm not sure if it makes a difference whether you pay 7.50 or 150.00. besides, all it is, is a piece of shaped aluminum with 2 circle things to go over the shock tower. you could make one of of chromoly for $10 if you had the right equipment.

they pretty much don't have any sort of effect. well, any real effects, because people that swear by em are suffering from what is known as "placebo effect"...

what are some good ideas that would add up to 60 dollars or so?
