99 Prelude suspension qualms :((
Hello there !
I bought a 1999 base Prelude with 52k on New Years' eve. When I test drove the car, it seemed fine.. However, in 2 days after I brought it home, the from suspension started to make a cracking noise whenever the car starts moving from a stop. Also, I heard something like a running centrifuge whenever I slowed down my car to a stop from high speeds. My mechanic said tht the cracking noise was because of a torn front Engine mount and the 'centrifuge-like' noise was because the front driver-side wheel-bearing is bad. He changed the engine-mount and the bearing and burned a hole in my pocket (400$)... but still the same noises (cracking & centrifuge-like from the left wheel),.,. The cracking noise is the most annoying of the two and I desperately need help.. Is it because of the cold.. Of course I am gonna go back to my mech and tell him the problem repeats.. but any suggestions welcome..!@!! (could it be the cold weather ??)
Thanks in advance..

From: Idaho. It sucks, but it's better than SLC.
Where are you coming from? The only thing your suspension should be doing in the cold is squeaking, and that shouldn't happen unless something is wrong with the spring.
