Default DSLR Crew V. Need Advice

Alright, I've been trying to get back onto the crew since I had my Rebel 8.1MP stolen. And right now I have the chance to get the Canon XS 10.1MP DSLR Camera With 18-55mm IS Lens, Grip, Extra Battery & Case for $410 american ($499 Canadian). For around here that is a spankin deal (about $150 Canadian off retail). Just dunno if I should pull the trigger. Input????

PS. Time is a factor - I'll be making the decision in a half hour or so.

Sounds solid. I don't have any experience with that cam though.

Definetly worth it, really nice camera - now I can partake in the theme photo shoots.
