New Macro Lens
5 Attachment(s)
My fiancé, her sister, and mother went in on a graduation present for me. It is the Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro Lens, and I absolutely love it. Here are some shots taken with it. Feedback welcome as always.
No post-processing at all other than resizing. https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...1&d=1233678537 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...1&d=1233678537 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...1&d=1233678537 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...1&d=1233678537 https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...1&d=1233678537 |
your pictures look good, except.....
you should try to get more of the subject in focus at one time, consider applying the rule of thirds and increase the depth of field in your photos. Anyway, congrats on the new lens, i wish i was lucky enough for someone to give me a lens. |
Nice glass! i've never shot macro (never really needed to) but the Sigma I have does a decent job of it. did you use a flash?

And I worked my balls off for 2 1/2 years for that degree, so the lens wasn't a freebie :D Thanks for the comments

I like to do a lot of spider and detail shots on things, so I like having the macro as an option. I used a flash on the first 3, and the 4th I did not. A external flash will be my next upgrade I believe. Also, I should say that I am sure you can tell from the pictures, but I am still learning to shoot with my DSLR, I definitely would like to get more time with it to learn more. |
Good shit! I want a macro and a wide angle. :oh:

not sure if you did but its always good to use a tripod when shooting something like macro :)
