S2000??
you are leaving out key criteria.
1. how much do you have to spend.
2. what do you intend to do with the car primarily? (daily driver, autocross, bracket racing, etc)
3. what are your needs? (passenger capacity, trunk room, mpg... or is this just a toy?)
4. what are your preferences? (hardtop? convertible?)
something you use to drift might not be so great for slalom. you either want it to slide or to stick. you should probably pick one.
reliable + affordable dont always go hand in hand. so be ready to put a little something into a cheap car to tune it up and keep it reliable or spend a little more to get a car that is reliable from the box.
i would look into a nissan 300zx if i just wanted a 2 seater all around fun car without having to mod it. 240sx will also fit the bill but then you get a back seat. the miata will satisfy the slalom needs better than drifting but... anything can be modified. if safety is a concern, id be more inclined to go with a hardtop.
