Default Even Ford Disagreed w/ going to war

"I don't think I would have gone to war,"

"Rumsfeld and Cheney and the president made a big mistake in justifying going into the war in Iraq. They put the emphasis on weapons of mass destruction," Ford said. "And now, I've never publicly said I thought they made a mistake, but I felt very strongly it was an error in how they should justify what they were going to do."

hmm...the man that brought them in had no idea of kind of monsters he was creating.

Point being, true conservatives (traditional conservatives) realize that this was a very stupid mistake. Even George H has been quoted saying this was a mistake....regardless, this is a very dangerous and very reckless administration. Quite possibly the worst since Truman, quite possibly the worst ever.

...and just a reminder, thanks for your absolutely ridiculous comment, Ford introduced Cheney and Rumsfeld. If it wasn't for Ford, there would be no Cheney or Rummy.

huh....and he strongly disagree's with these assclowns.

...and u are comparing Ford to everyone else? are you fucking kidding me?

Wait, President Ford DID agree with the War in Iraq!

He'd been visited by President Bush three weeks earlier and said he'd told Bush he supported the war in Iraq but that the 43rd President had erred by staking the invasion on weapons of mass destruction.

What is interesting is that Ford did not like the fact that WMD was so strong a reason to go in there as the basis for war. Ford felt there was enough to go to war without the WMD. President Ford was very much in favor of going to war with Iraq and in traditional, liberal media fashion twist his words to mean something they do not in an obvious attempt to influence the unknowing public. Looks like it has worked.

I don't think anything changed in this argument between the two posts above.
