Arrow Debate on: What is the best car for racing for under $6k?

What is the best car for all racing types for under $6k?

This has to accel mainly at Drag racing and Circuit track.

This car has to be reilaiable, handles exceptionaly well, quick 1/4mile time stock, acceration is unbeatable for it's price range, and has tobe quick in the slaloms. Needs to be easy to find parts and mods for it aswell.

My vote would be for the 1992 MR2 turbo.

1G Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, or Plymouth Laser. Turbo FWD or Turbo AWD.

The turbo models all have the Mitsubishi 4g63 engine:

The Eclipse GSX, okay thats nice choice for your vote. I think the mid engine design of the MR2 turbo and the eclipse GSX's AWD would be a interesting match in race that required handling and fast slalom speeds. Question: What year or model years exactly eclipse, talon, and/or laser?

Sorry, my experiance with Genermal Motors has been terriable.
  1. 69 firebird convertable 350 fuel line burst and the car burned up its front end off before the fire department could get there.
  2. 97 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt $2500+ spent on transmisson repairs, aswell eltrical problems.
  3. sister in-law's 97 chevy blazer had transmission problems.
  4. mother's 98+ chevy Suburban eltrical recouring problems.
  5. father's 97 Chevy Sliverado Z71 eltrical and steering problems.
Conclusion, GMs are not reiliable.
