"On a racetrack, the revised suspension, bigger tires and slightly better brakes let a driver push the new S2000 deeper into corners while the richer torque curve is more forgiving of gear selection screwups coming out of them. The original S2000's oversteer came on pretty suddenly, but the limit transition is more manageable and smoother in the updated machine. An expert might hustle the original, less forgiving S2000 just as quickly around some tracks as the updated car, but for most of us the new car will be quicker and safer.'

Well from looking at the spec changes it's easy to see why the handling has changed. The rear tires have grown in proportion to the fronts, the rear suspension has lost a little bit of roll resistance and the front has gained some. That should shift the overall balance of the car a bit away from oversteer but the magnitude of the changes doesn't sound like it's much to make the overall feel of the car "soft."

Oh and here's an Autoweek article: http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content...._code=06842145

Well, seems like another one bites the dust... First they screwed up the SI, now the S2000.... Whats next, NSX with 5.7 v8 with 400lb tq at 2500 rpm and 5000 rpm redline?

How exactly did either acticle lead you to believe that Honda messed up the S2000? Or do you just not like the new styling?

No, the next thing is me asking you what the fuck you're talking about. The article could not possibly have been more positive as everyone else has said :slap:

But you're one of those Honda-or-nothing anti-torque fellows, aren't you

A car with 7800 redline is just not anywhere as much fun as a car with 9500 redline, to me at least. They took the fun out of SI first, replaced integra with a piece of shit RSX, now they ****ed S2000 up and i guess NSX is next. There are plenty of cars with shitload of torque as it is.

The lowered the redline 1,000 RPM. Not 1,700.

I can't believe you called the RSX a piece of shit. It shows how little you know or how much of a hater you are. Or both. Please don't post here anymore if it's gonna be trash like that.
