i wonder how easy it will be to put in an aftermarket stereo system into this car (or the american accord for that matter).

While 360w sounds awesome, that's a peak figure and usally not RMS (continuous) power. For example, the 6th gen accord was listed as having a 100w (or maybe it was a 120w) stereo system. Which is 25w (or 30w) per channel. However, it only put out 12w RMS.

And plus, it's probably going to be a Bose sound system, which keep getting worse and worse with more hype and marketing spin.

i highly doubt a lsd in the type s sedan when even the rsx type s doesn't have one...at least the tsx has a manual so we should be happy its not in the TL's unfavorable status b/c of the lack of that option.

now how can those with the much more affordable lx accord 5spds get 200hp out of the same 2.4l...head swap?...sleeper

I have a feeling that the Accord already puts out 180HP. probably some combination of making the I/H/E less restricting and a slight timing change will get an extra 20HP.

I would like to know if either use i-vtec on the exhuast and intake side. that would be the difference right there.

I'm officially in love. If the Type-S (when/if avaliable) can be had for about $27K, I'm sold. I'm really liking the black-out headlights.

The interior is very nice too. I think Acura hit a bases-loaded homer with this thing. I would be a tough call deciding between the Type-S and the Accord EX V6, especially since they'll probably be the exact same price, or close enough to where the extra money one way or the other will not make a difference.

I think Honda just wants to screw with our minds. :fawk:

Isn't it kinda wierd how the "base" model TSX has a 6-speed? Normally, it's always been left to the "Type-S" models. I wonder if their will even be a TSX-S. Hmm, makes ya think!

true. but its competition has manuals avail across the line, so it must too. and all the other _SX cars have manuals in the base model.

Well, the stereo pics don't have the Bose logo anywhere, which probably means Alpine.

Anyway, yeah. I'm surprised how much I'm liking the TSX. Wow.

It's the equivalent of the Accord 2.4 for the European and JDM market, as has been discussed. The Japanese 2.4 has 200HP, the Euro Accord has 190HP. The Euro-R model, available only in Japan so far, gets the K20A5 (2.0L i-VTEC 220HP) We get different interior styling and probably a Type-S model in the future with more HP. The stereo for the US is way better and I don't think they have VSA.

What exactly is wrong with a rebadged Euro/JDM Accord?
