The Asian Camry - Why didn't the US get this version?

This Camry looks much better than the ugly, overweight, and protruding nose of the US version. Is it just me, or US always get ugly versions of overseas?

hey, it does look a lot better. i didn't think that was possible. it looks better than the sculpted lump of crap that is the ES.
that's from toyota of china, and i dunno if they have it in any other asian country. in china, the camry is a much more upscale and prestigious car than it is here. so it looks nicer. the same is true for the accord. in the US, they need to differentiate it from the ES, so they dumb it down a few notches. that's just a guess, tho.
i think the size and proportions are all the same. the nose shape is the same, but the taller headlights and normal-looking grille make a huge difference. they offset the bloatedness of it, so it doesn't look as big.

The Honda Accord is still better than this piece of shit. Wow what an even uglier front. But the taillights are much nicer but still not nicely made.

Are u serious?? If your taking about quality yes, but as far as design...no way. The latest version of Camry actually has some style to it. And with the next Altima about to come out still being as stylish if not more than the last, the next Accord better be a bombshell.
