Default 2007 Honda CR-V Spyshots

Some spy shots of a disguised 2007 Honda CR-V being tested have surfaced. You can see them at tov:
http://vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=567791

despite some people in the comments releasing what they claim to be some of the final specs/dimensions, nothing is known for certain at this time. i'm opting not to post the pictures, because if memory serves me correctly, Brenda Priddy & Company are pretty anal about people posting their pictures around.

I wouldn't call Doane/Priddy anal. Part of their business is exclusive pictures to websites such as us, Car Connection, and TOV. So, they like for that exclusive to be maintained. I mean yeah sure there's nothing stopping someone from cut-n-pasting the URLs in some image tags, but when I discussed it with Chris Doane he very politely asked me to help this forum to play nice with their request. So...yeah. Repost anyone else's pictures you feel like it until they say otherwise, but for Doane/Priddy just post a link like has been done above.

Gracias, and now back to the CR-V...

not to say they don't have a right to protect their business, but that sounds quite a bit like the definition of being anal.

anyways... a few more spypics of the next CR-V have surfaced

http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...r-v-spy-photos
Honda has already introduced the Acura RDX to the press, but not yet shown is the sister vehicle, the Honda CR-V, which will be built on the same platform. Now these latest spy photos capture a prototype CR-V undergoing high-temperature testing in the US southwest.

One big change from prior CR-V’s is that the spare tire is no longer mounted outside on the tail. This has allowed the new CR-V to have a true hatchback design instead of using a horizontal-swinging door. The CR-V is expected to continue using a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine, but with the output upped to about 170 hp. It will not offer the turbocharged engine found in the RDX.

Inside the CR-V will continue to have two rows of seats, with a capacity of 5 people. It is expected to be introduced in September as a 2007 model.

The new CR-V looks pretty good in my opinion except i'm not too crazy about the shape of the side window behind the rear door. It shouldnt swoop down into what looks like an egg if u know what i mean. Oh well, other than that i would still consider buying one.

It's very similar looking to the current one, which I suppose is a good thing.

i think the grille is going to make it stand out a lot from the current one. but otherwise, it's a pretty evolutionary design. very similar, but more refined and sculpted. can't wait to see the official debut!

it looks alright for the most part. the ugliest feature is that middle grill that extends to just under the headlights. it will be very noticeable on non-black cars.

Did anybody notice the piece of tape on the very rear window on the side of the almost completely unveiled CR-V? Is it because they haven't quite decided on that design yet or what?:dunno:
