Yeah i've seen the new camry, its on this website, Honda is really gonna have to step up to the plate this time and hit a home run on this one. I hope that the 08 Accord doesnt look like the current Acura TSX (its smaller than the 7th gen accord and a lot bulkier). I hope that the redesigned accord shoots more for a TL look than TSX.
Thanks for posting your thoughts.

I wonder if the 8th gen Accord will look more like a evolved version of the 6th gen accord. The 6th gen seemed to go over better with some buyers. I think the accord sales have reflected that.

yeah, I know. I was asked if I saw camry pics, so I replied to that comment and I even said in my quote that honda has to step it up.

i wonder if honda will keep the rear LED bulbs in the next accord to come because if they didnt it would be a leap backwards. Hopefully honda will give an even greater deal of balance between luxury and sport.

I would think they would. I believe the new civics even have them, and all the Acuras have them. in 10years, all the hondas will proably have SH AWD

Yes, because when I go car shopping I immediately scratch off cars with tungsten-lamp type taillights.

Since Camry will be out in 2007, honda has to come out with a really good product to compete.... I think that Honda realized the mistake that they made with the 7 generation. Since the Camry will be 3.5L V6 @ around 260-270hp, I expect nothing less from Honda. Honda knows that they f*'ed up with the current accord, and I'm pretty sure they will come up with something good.

Led tail-lights, HID at the front, and all the goodies inside (ie: bluetooth etc)
will be there. The only question is the engine. I hope for a 3.5L but a 3.2L with a Acura TL specs would be enough. Let's just hope that Honda doesn't cut corners with the 8-gen.

Keeping fingers crossed - dozorca....

We won't see or hear anything for the 8th gen for quite some time, Honda keeps their lips shut until about 6 months before press release where they start taking their latest pre-production cars on the road for testing.

I don't expect a huge improvement in horsepower, although it would be nice to see a revised J-Series 3.0 with i-VTEC and maybe a few more ponies from K24. I do expect bluetooth, I doubt HID's will be available on anything but the EX V6 model if anything.

Other than that it's all up in the air. I hope the styling isn't as bland. And I hardly agree that Honda "fucked up" the 7th gen. It's just not as pretty as some of the previous models.
