VW Scirocco to return?
From Germancarblog.com:
Auto Motor und Sport has an article about the successor of the VW Scirocco which shall see the light in 2008. The 2+2 seater with an extremely low roof line will be based on the VW Golf platform with a length of around 4.2 meters. The engine is coming from the VW Golf GT, also known as the supercharger with a turbo and a compressor, giving you 170 bho from just 1.4 liters. The base price is expected to be slightly over 20.000 Euro. http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/s...irocco_355.jpg Why not the successor to the Corrado? |
Corrado was more widely known for having a VR6(even though it was equipped with a 4 cyl. but it sucked)
The scirroco maybe has more "heritage" in Europe? |
That would be crazy. I really wanted one of those when I was like 18 or something..........
|
I remember having one when I WAS 18.. that was a fun little car.. and Twin-Charged.. Hrmm.. Talk about Tunable!
|
VW could never produce a car that looked as good as that concept art.
|
it almost has a Z4 coupe concept car vibe to it...

What are you talking about? The current Jetta.... wait, you are right. |
It would cost $30K though ... :whyme:
New VWs are too pricey. Any new 2+2 coupes with lower roofs than are standard on today's bubble-sedans would be great. Even if they're from VW. |
vr6 corrado's ruled!! i'd buy one now if I could find in good shape.
