Great vehicle for your family.

for what its worth:

"- Body structure and chassis reinforced to improve crash protection. "

i just think its insulting that theyve tried to infuse a minivan with SUV styling. i pity the fool that takes one of those sleds off of the paved road. :booty:

edit: just saw this: "40-gig, removable and downloadable hard drive cartridge - enough memory to hold 10,000 songs in MP3 or WAV formats"

ya thall hold about 600 songs in WAV format :sqfawk:

Well...that's actually a new engine with overhead cams.

Negative Batman, it's not the 3.5 from the Intrigue and base Aurora we saw a few years ago. It's still pushrod, it's the updated version of the archaic 3400. It's a hell of a lot better and is actually now more refined than the 3800 series (the 3400 used to be the worst second to the 3100). They're all the same blocks.

Eitherway it's no Camry or Accord 6-cylinder.

I don't get it either...it's complete bullshit. I thought GM was supposed to stop doing this :slap:

Anyone notice how the center stack in all four is the EXACT SAME? Unbe****inglievable.

Kaz: Great comparison of all four

looks like the headlights are interchangable on these 4 vans....couldn't they have done more to make them more different from each other?:ugh:

though its a typical GM rebadging technique and a way to cut costs!

People seem to forget we're talking about GM here. :awais:

price

Will they still be available in two different wheelbases?

I actually don't mind the look. To me, the new Durango, with its bulbous new body, has a similar look, i.e. a van with a SUV nose grafted on.

In any case, I think they will be sold on low price. I don't think they will seriously sell against the Ody, Sienna, and Quest on quality, features, or performance.

as much as i hate the badge-engineering, and i'm not impressed with the overall package, you have to hand it to them in the interior department, as compared to this 2003 Venture interior:
http://www.new-cars.com/2003/chevrol...e-interior.jpg

But it's pretty lame to start claiming an ALL-NEW product that is just a full refresh.

GhettoMax 02-02-2004 09:49 AM

GM needs to be shot...

I thought it was Ford that owned Volvo? How is GM getting away with slapping a Volvo XC front end to a Venture?

Responsive high-value 3500 V-6, producing 200 horsepower and 220 lb.-ft. of torque.
so whats the "value" part? the whopping 200 horses and 220 lb-ft tq?? or is it the cheap fleet pricing for rental companies its referring to?

anyways keep it up GM you f'in screwups....

notice the new Titan and the upcoming toyota's response to the Titan and watch as the import brands eventually take over the Truck Market as well. SHAME SHAME SHAAAAME REALLY!

yianni64 02-02-2004 11:56 AM

"Value" means pushrod. Basically the cheaper engine to produce.
