Default Nissan goes Hybrid?

Hybrid X-Rail

I wonder why they never announced this before? I could have sworn that I read about them getting Info from Toyota on Hybrid technology.

Approved by the Japanese Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in November 2002, Nissan’s high-efficiency X-TRAIL FCV has already proven itself in extensive public road testing in Japan. Improvements were made to the X-TRAIL FCV on the basis of those tests, and limited lease of this FCV began in 2003, two years ahead of the original schedule.

On a side note this will be their future communication system to be deployed in most of their vehicles. I only wish they would use a steering wheel like that in their current cars instead of the ugly T-Shaped ones.

Those type of displays are very, very common in Japan but will never make it over here.

They also read your email aloud for you via the car's stereo system. Japanese love gadgets.
