Those with crotch rockets..
How comfortable are these on long trips? Yesterday I was looking to get financed for a 2007 Yamaha V-Star, but I am curious about sport bikes. I was looking at the Ninja series (650), but I am not sure how comfortable it would be on rides averaging 2 or more hours one way.

It depends on the bike. They aren't that bad. They just get a little hard on your wrists. You can always lean on your tank with your elbow or hunch down like you are racing.
You can also always buy an aftermarket seat that is designed for comfort. Why are you looking into a sportbike? Have you ever ridden one before? etc... |

...I fell in love with a bike today, it was next to the V-Star and I completely did not see it. 01 Suzuki Volusia VL800. Feels VERY comfortable and it is less expensive than the V-Star. |

just get a SV 650.

The Ninja 650 is totally different than the ZX-6R/10R etc. The Ninja 650 and 500 are more like standard motorcycles with fairings, and have a much more relaxed riding position than do the ZX models. So be careful which ninjas you ride for comparison.
